‑I was always given the impression that I would never achieve anything; be a failure in every aspect of my life and yet all that did was motivate me more. As a bisexual, non‑binary person, the fight for my identity and existence has always been a strong aspect of who I am, and hopefully that never changes. Through my many years of life, I have gone through many trials and tribulation which have helped me grow more as a person. However the one constant in my life has always been art; whether that has been through writing, editing on photoshop, art ( digitally and traditionally ) or even with toilet paper holders.Growing up in an out‑of‑the‑ordinary family, I used any and every method for a creative outlet, and one night back in 2009. out of the blue, I decided to create a magnificant papier mâché castle out of cardboard toilet paper holders, kitchen towel and PVA glue. I spent the entire night making this, deciding how tall each turret would be, what colour acyrilic paint I was going to use and even cutting out cardboard arches for windows.I was in my happy place.Art for me has always been an escape, an escape from my life, something that has always appeased my inner child, something that took away the responsibilities and the mature mindset but not only that it was completely and unapologetically mine.As I grew older I became passionate about writing; whether that be fictional little stories, reading endless books or even writing fanfiction ( which we wont get into ). Through those hardships that I mentioned earlier, I projected my thoughts and feelings into the characters I would create. It was something I did not long after my mother died; I created a character called Hope, she was someone who enjoyed writing and crafts and had a dog, it was simple; and honestly far more effective than counseling has ever been more me. She was someone I could go to whenever I was feeling low or upset about things that were happening.Later one, I rediscovered my passion for Greek Mythology and Astrology, both worlds fascinated me; from a young age I was always been intrigued by Ancient Greek and space. Wanting to learn Latin, read everything I could about the mythos and the history, even the thought of Atlantis. Though it had never been confirmed nor discovered; the idea that there was an entire city under the ocean ruled over by Poseidon which as a Pisces ‑ makes a lot of sense. Not to mention, Poseidon is pretty cool, especially with the way he is said to surf the waves on his chariot. IT'S JUST ICONIC.Now this is the part of my life where the business comes into things. I have always enjoyed the idea of working for myself and making an environment for myself that is completely inclusive and sustainable. I wanted to create a business that is not only inclusive for all but teaches and educates especially for those who are interested in Greek Mythology and Astrology. Now written down on paper, the idea of crossing the both seems a little odd but the more you look into things and read, you will see crossovers between the pair and its fascinating, to open yourself up to the spirituality of astrology and the history and personalities of the gods and goddesses of the mythos.Through my brand I hope you as the customer will discover more about yourself and what it means to be YOU, identity is important for self growth, it's an important concept that even today I am still learning. So if you would like more, feel free to check out my socials by checking out the contact page.
